In 2018, I participated as a cast member of Overture, a show created specifically for freshmen and transfer students. In addition to acting, the students and directors collaborated to write the script.
I was cast as the Caretaker’s Wife in Ghost Sonata by August Strindberg. The production was put on by the American University Rude Mechanicals, a student theater group.
I was cast as the Guard in 12 Angry Jurors, (modified from 12 Angry Men by Reginald Rose) put on by Open Dialogue Theatre, a student theater organization at American University.
In the fall of 2019, I stage managed a student-written production titled Superstar! A Hero’s End, A Hero’s Beginning. This was my first stage management experience.
I was cast as Eliza in Old Friends, an original play by my colleague, Olivia Luzquinos. The story follows two old friends who unexpectedly reunite on a plane and reconnect.
I was cast as the lead in an original play written by my colleague, Addam Ledamyen.The story centers around a young atheist who has an unexpected spiritual encounter that alters her life perspective.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, student theater at American University was performed on Zoom. My colleagues and I collaborated to create a devised show about the impact of the pandemic on college students and their mental health.
This show was written by my colleague specifically to be performed on Zoom. It takes a lighter, more humorous to pandemic life and specifically focuses on the challenges of online dating. I was cast as Katia.
In the fall of 2021, AU Quills and Capes put on a series of student-written short plays. I wrote a play titled Stuck With You and acted in three of the other short plays.
I starred as the lead in the short-form rockumentary titled “Information”. This film was written, directed and produced by my friend and colleague Daniel Sirota.
I was cast in the ensemble of The Audition, a short film written, directed and produced by my former professor and DC-based filmmaker Brigid Maher. The story follows a non-binary child’s audition at a prestigious music school, and the biases they face.
I was cast as Ellie in Psych Ward, a fictional short film written, directed and produced by Portia Harrell-Mitchell. The story centers around psychiatric patients in an institution, their internal struggles and their interactions with each other. The role required me to dive deep into the psyche of an OCD patient, which posed a challenge and put my skills in authentic acting to the test.
